The Onnamusha closed her eyes, and lay back. As she drifted into sleep, she could feel the Song doing the same.

"Wake up."

Her eyes snapped open.

He was standing by the fireplace, almost invisible in the dark.

"Look at me, Stranger."

The fire burst to life, turning the vague shape into an unmistakably bunny-eared silhouette.

Onnamusha started reaching for her sword.

"Ah-ah, that won't be necessary."

She grabbed for her sword, only to find an empty scabbard.

"You forget, this is *my* prison. *I* make the rules."

She went for her pistol. The holster was empty.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. I don't even think I could! I just want to talk."

Despite his assurances, she backed up into a defensive stance.

"Why did you give up? You know this is an illusion, just another prison. *She* was the one that commissioned all this! *She's* the one that gave the order for your torture! *She's* the reason we're stuck in here!"

She began to sign.

"We?"

"What, did you think you were the only one who wanted to leave? You think the rest of us are happy to just sit up here? To rot?"

"Why would-"

"Stop. Unless you're going to take your weapons and do what has to be done, I don't want to see another word from you."

She blinked, and her weapons were sitting in front of her.

"Remember, Stranger. The Jailer is the key. Kill her, and we'll be free."

He vanished, and the room was filled with the soft pitter-patter of rain.
