Cool and New Web Comic (2016-current, on hiatus) is a psuedo-shitpost parody/continuation of Homestuck (2009-2016). Using stylistic suck (similar to Homestuck spinoff Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff) and general absurdism, it is a tongue-in-cheek mockery of the general shenanigans in Homestuck.

Or at least, so it pretends. In reality, Cool and New Web Comic is an unironically really Cool and New Webcomic about being forcibly ascended to a higher plane of thought than human, what it means to be metafiction, the relation of an author to their work, the relation of the reader to a work, how even the most fourth-wall breaking character is still fundamentally unable to be aware of the fourth wall behind the fourth wall they just broke, and the relation of an author to their author avatar, while also still being a loving parody of everything amazing about Homestuck.

Absolutely. CANWC outruns Homestuck by a mile in terms of themes (as mentioned previously), but it's also vastly funnier than Homestuck, far less aggravatingly slow, and when it stops pulling it's punches it can go toe-to-toe with Homestuck's action scenes.

Honestly, I don't have a really deep "emotional" connection to this one. It's an incredible work, and my favourite homestuck fanventure, but that's pretty much it. Sorry to let you down.
